Terms of Service

Effective date: 25 September 2026
Who we are: foodoodle is operated by Pensy Group LLC ("foodoodle", "we", "us"), Tulsa, Oklahoma. Contact: foodoodle@pensygroup.com.

1. The short version

  • foodoodle helps a household plan meals, share a grocery list, and keep personal food information private.
  • You need to be at least 13 (16 where local law requires) to sign up on your own. A child under 13 uses foodoodle only through their parent or guardian: as a profile the parent manages, or with a login the parent gives that profile.
  • AI features make suggestions. You decide. Always check labels and ingredients yourself, especially for allergies.
  • Be decent. Don't break things. We can suspend accounts that don't.

2. Accepting these terms

By creating an account or using foodoodle you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, don't use foodoodle.

3. Eligibility and accounts

  • You must be at least 13 years old, or 16 where the law where you live requires it, to create an account yourself.
  • You are responsible for your account and for keeping your password private. Tell us right away if you think someone else is using it.
  • You may add managed profiles for household members who don't have accounts, including children. If you add a profile for a child, you confirm that you are that child's parent or legal guardian and you consent to the limited information described in the Privacy Policy.
  • A child's own login. A planner who is a child's parent or legal guardian may give that child's profile its own login. By doing so you confirm that you are the child's parent or legal guardian, you consent to the child using foodoodle and to the information described in the Privacy Policy's Children section, and you are responsible for the child's use of the login. A login for a child under 13 has no AI chat, no personal food plans and no connected assistants, can't be a planner, and can't change or remove the child's own food restrictions. Those limits end on the child's 13th birthday.

4. Households and roles

  • A household is created by an Owner. Owners and Planners can invite people, add and remove members, change roles, confirm meals, and manage household settings.
  • Members can vote, make requests, add items to the list, scan recipes and receipts, and use their own My Food space.
  • Planners can always see members' dietary restrictions. That is how the household keeps meals safe. Other personal information in My Food is shared only when the member chooses.
  • If you leave a household, the recipes, votes, requests, and receipts you contributed stay with the household, shown as "Former member". Your My Food data for that household is deleted after 30 days.

5. Your content

  • You own what you add: recipes, photos, scans, notes, preferences, plans, and messages.
  • You give us a licence to store, process, display, and back up your content so foodoodle can work for you and your household, including sending it to the service providers named in the Privacy Policy.
  • Don't upload content you don't have the right to share. Recipes you scan from books or websites are for your household's personal use.
  • If you make a recipe public, foodoodle keeps a copy of it that anyone on the internet can see, search engines can index, and other foodoodle households can add to their own book and rate — the recipe only, never your names, notes, ratings or anything from My Food. Making a recipe public is permanent: the copy never changes on its own, and it stays even if you change or delete your recipe, your household or your account, though your household's name on it is removed with the household. You can replace the public copy with an updated version from Share; you cannot take it down. You give us, and them, a licence to do that. Make public only recipes you wrote or that foodoodle wrote for you, not ones scanned or saved from somewhere else.
  • If you send someone an Oodle card link, whoever holds that link can see that card — the member's name, an age band, their restrictions and notes, any note or contact you added, and, unless you sent just the rules, their likes, dislikes and favorite meals — until you turn the link off or it runs out. Send it only to people who will be feeding that member. A fingerprint of each version of a card (a hash that reveals nothing by itself) is recorded on a ledger outside foodoodle and is not deleted.
  • We may remove content that breaks these Terms or the law, including a public recipe, and support@foodoodle.com is where to tell us about one.

6. AI features

  • foodoodle uses artificial intelligence to generate recipes and images, read recipe pages and receipts, suggest meals and themes, propose food plans, and answer questions.
  • AI output can be wrong. It may misread a receipt, miss an ingredient, or suggest something that doesn't fit. Review everything before you rely on it.
  • Allergies and dietary restrictions. foodoodle checks meals against the restrictions you enter and blocks or warns on conflicts. This check depends on the information entered and on ingredient text, which may be incomplete or mislabelled. Always check labels and ingredients yourself. foodoodle is not a substitute for your own care.
  • Not medical advice. Food plans and suggestions are general information, not medical, nutritional, or health advice. Talk to a qualified professional before changing your diet for a health reason.
  • AI features are proposals. Nothing is added to your household plan, your inventory, or your personal plan without a confirmation from a person.

7. Third-party content

Links and videos you save stay on their original sites and are subject to those sites' terms. We show previews and, where available, extracted details. We are not responsible for third-party content. A recipe you add from foodoodle's public book is different: it is a copy, it is yours to edit, and it stays in your book whatever happens to the public one.

8. Inventory and shopping

Quantities, stock levels, and shopping needs are estimates built from what you and your household enter and scan. Check before you shop or cook.

9. Acceptable use

Don't: break the law; harass or harm anyone; upload malicious content; try to access other households or accounts; scrape or reverse engineer the service, the public book included; overload the service or its AI features; make public a recipe that isn't yours to give, or one that names or targets a person; use foodoodle to make decisions about other people's health without their consent.

10. Plans and fees

  • foodoodle is free while it is in beta: every feature, for every household, with no card and no trial clock.
  • If we decide to charge, we'll tell you in the app or by email at least 30 days before any fee applies, with the price and what it covers. Nothing is ever charged unless a planner chooses to subscribe, and the terms for a paid plan will be posted here before one is offered.

11. Our intellectual property

The foodoodle name, mascot, logo, design, and software are ours or our licensors'. These Terms don't give you any right to them beyond using the service.

12. Ending things

  • You can delete your account any time in Settings. See the Privacy Policy for what happens next.
  • We can suspend or end accounts that break these Terms, with notice where reasonable.
  • Owners can delete a household. Members are notified and have 30 days to export their data, after which it is deleted.

13. Disclaimers

foodoodle is provided "as is" and "as available". To the extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, including fitness for a particular purpose and accuracy of AI output, extracted data, and inventory calculations.

14. Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, Pensy Group LLC is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for loss of data or profits, arising from your use of foodoodle. Our total liability is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the past 12 months or $100. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

15. Indemnity

You agree to cover us against claims arising from content you upload or your breach of these Terms.

16. Changes

We may update these Terms. We'll post the new version with a new effective date and, for material changes, tell you in the app or by email at least 14 days before they take effect.

17. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Oklahoma. Disputes go to the state and federal courts located in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, unless the law where you live gives you other rights.
